I have a very extensive stats programme which gives me a lot of information on a site I work on which attracts around 150,000 unique visitors a month.
I'm looking at user behaviour at the moment and need to have a graphical way of presenting where people click (which links) on a page.
The stats programme shows what percentage of people click on each link on each page.
What I require is a way of translating the raw data and figures onto a screenshot of the page - which shows using both colours and figures where people are clicking. So for example if most people click on a link on the bottom right the screenshot of the page would show a very deep colour here to signify the percentage of people clicking.
This needs to be translated onto a number of different pages - approx 15-20. Most of these pages will have slightly different designs so the intial setup is important. From then on we would need to be able to change the screenshots if links are placed in different positions / design is changed, and I would need the ability to input the latest data (for example if we changed the design, next month new raw data would have to be automatically inputted to show clicks on new design)
a) Need to be able to create new pages with different link placements
b) Need to be able to automatically get data from stats programme or manually run a script (if it works on a script basis, then this script must be created)
c) Must be visually presented in a heatmap on the screenshot of the page
d) Data must also be visually presented using figures (i.e. percentage instead of colour)
In order to bid for this project I will need the following:
a) Examples of previous work / details of portfolio. The portfolio should be of SIMILAR work if possible
b) You must demonstrate in your initial contact / message that you understand what is required and give some indication on how you would could achieve what I am asking for.
This is a project where I will be looking for technical input and suggestions. You must be able to display an aptitude for this in any communication. If you need any further information please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to reviewing your bids - thanks
