I have a batch of image-based PDF scans that need to be turned into clean, editable text. The files contain straightforward paragraphs, a few headings, and the occasional number, but no complex tables or forms. Because these are scans rather than searchable PDFs, accuracy in re-typing is essential—spelling, punctuation, and line breaks should match the originals exactly. Your task is simple: open each PDF, type the text into a Word or Google Docs file, proof-read your work, and send the completed document back to me. If you spot obvious OCR errors or smeared characters, use your best judgment to restore the intended wording. I will share the PDFs as soon as we start, and I’m happy to answer any formatting questions along the way. Let me know your expected turnaround per 50 pages and any previous experience you have with text data entry from scanned documents.
