Hi, I need a map of the city of Houston as well as its surroundings, divided up by zip codes. Then I'll need each zip code color coded based on the average household income for that zip code. The higher the income, the darker the color should be. There can be a chart next to the map that indicates what income level each color shade represents.
The map might have to be broken up into several sections (i.e. 4 separate maps) in order to have enough space to see all the zip codes since the area is so large.
The attachment titled 'houston area zip codes' shows the area I would like covered.
The attachment titled 'income map' shows a similar example of what this would look like.
The difference would be is in our final product I would like each zipcode labeled so I can see at a glance which zip code I'm looking at.
The ranges to use for income levels can be the following:
34,000 to 40,000
40,000 to 53,000
53,000 to 77,000
77,000 to 100,000
100,000 to 140,000
There are many websites like this one that provide the data: http://www.city-data.com/city/Houston-Texas.html
