Star Wine List, [login to view URL], is the guide to great wine bars and wine restaurants. We launched in Sweden last year and have recently opened in Toronto and Oslo.
We are expanding to new cities and will implement new features in our upcoming platform. For that, we need to strengthen our team with a Wine data manager, part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Expand and maintain Star Wine List’s database of wines and wine lists, and related data.
Hire, train and supervise a team of data entry freelancers.
Maintain wine list data and other data in our database, and maintain relationships with partners such as restaurants, wine bars and other data sources.
Contribute to the development of new products for the wine industry.
Contribute to the overall success of the company.
ABOUT YOU: You have a deep knowledge of wine and you have a sommelier, WSET or similar wine education. This means that you can explain the complexities of vineyards, classifications, and producers in Burgundy as well as the details of German wine labels. This will be tested by us in a live setting.
You are extremely organised, thorough and detail-oriented.
This means that you basically read wine books and produce excel lists for fun instead of going out drinking wine.
You are fast, stress tolerant and you never make spelling mistakes.
Good English written and spoken. A good understanding of French and a Scandinavian language is an advantage, as are other languages.
The position is contract-based, part-time, estimated at 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, but this can change up or down. Starting as soon as possible.
Star Wine List is based in central Stockholm and we would like the candidate to work there. If the ideal candidate is based elsewhere that works too, but the time zones have to be overlapping.
Please note that this position is not open to outsourcing firms, only to individuals.
