We are a start-up media organisation. We are looking for someone to assist with researching and collating details of upcoming events in Asia from public and privately available sources.
Essentially we are looking for someone to find upcoming events from a range of different sources,, e.g.:
- other publications like Time Out, Expat Living, Honeycombers
- ticketing agents like SISTIC in Singapore and Hong Kong Ticketing in Hong Kong
- other similar websites
- directly from organisations which contact us directly via our website.
[we will provide a list of suggested sources].
and then briefly summarise (or paste) the basic information about the event i.e. name, location, time, summary, appeal (adult, kids, teens etc) into a word or excel document which forms a rolling calendar of upcoming events in Asia.
Out target is predominantly British and Australia expat families in Asia and therefore the work would predominantly be in relation to any events in Hong Kong and Singapore, and in relation to major events in other capital cities (e.g. Jakarta, Bangkok, KL, Manila etc).
Initially we are looking for someone to do this once a week (by Thursday lunchtime Singapore time/GMT+8). They work could be undertaken anywhere but the person doing it:
- would ideally be located in Asia / APAC (if possible Singapore or Hong Kong)
- must speak and understand good written English
- be able to give a medium term commitment to be able to do this every week.
