Worker will classify 933 Irish food entries in a spreadsheet into one of 27 categories, and then determine (through web research) the common serving sizes for each food item, where possible.

Worker ideally has domain knowledge of food / nutrition science.

## Deliverables

The spreadsheet contains the following columns:

A) Food ID

B) Food Description

C) kcal/100g: This is the number of kcal (Calories) in 100g of the item

D) Category

E) Serving Amount: The numeric unit portion of the typical serving size. This is normally 1 (ex: 1 cup, 1 slice), but could be 1/4 pizza.

F) Serving Name: The descriptive portion of the serving size (ex: slice, cup, pizza)

G) Serving Size (g): The serving size equivalent in grams

H) Serving kcal: Calculated automatically, as C*G/100. This provides a cross-check with the researched serving size data.

I) Confidence: The researcher's confidence level in this entries data. Can flag rows that may require review.

J) Notes: To document researcher's comments & concerns with this row.

Researcher is to fill out D, E, F, G, I, and J appropriately. It is expected that the majority of D, E, F, G will be filled, but correctness is important, and where the worker is unsure, should be left unfilled, or marked as needing review with appropriate notes.

It is understood and acceptable that the spreadsheet will not be 100% completed, as we prefer correct data over 100% coverage. We do expect the majority of rows to be completed with high quality and accuracy.

Column H is provided as a way for the researcher to validate the serving size data found when researching on the web. This is the calories we expect a serving of the entered size to contain, and if your nutrition label does not roughly agree, it should be noted or thrown out.

Researcher should try and find nutrition label from the actual food producer, before using data from 3rd party nutrition websites.

Not all food items are 'products', some are common irish meals / recipes, and as such there will not likely be serving size information available.

It is expected the worker will email me for clarification/advice on how to categorize items, as the work begins. Worker should also submit a sample of 10 or so completed items early in the process, for me to inspect and provide feedback that they are proceeding correctly.
