I need someone to take information from handwritten records and enter it into a spreadsheet. The records are baptismal records from Ireland, dating from the early 19th century to the late 20th century. The data format is erratic, and the handwriting varies between quite clear and very difficult to read. There are about 280 pages (JPG photos of the original records, quite good quality images) of actual content. Some pages only have a few records; some have about 35 to the page.
If you hit a word that you just cannot read, replace it with unknown in red, and I'll get a handwriting expert to look at it later. Fill in the columns that are present: later records have better data. For example, the early records don't include the mother's name. I can provide a cheat sheet to abbreviations that may have been used (Wm is William, etc.), and instructions on how to handle maiden names and so forth.
You will need a way to open, and possibly rotate, image files. I have included some sample pages and a sample spreadsheet in the attachment. I have had to shrink one of the files in order to upload it here, image 247 is actually better quality than you see here. Familiarity with English and Irish names and places will help to get this done.
If I can get a good result on this, there will be about another 500 pages (marriage records) to be entered in a few weeks time.
