EU-MENA Import-Export Business Mentorship

I am building an import–export business focused on trade between the European Union and the MENA region (Middle East & North Africa). Rather than hiring someone to complete customs declarations or manage shipments for me, I am looking for a highly experienced international trade professional who can mentor me over the long term and teach me every practical aspect of running a successful import–export business. My goal is to become fully independent by learning directly from someone who has built, managed, or operated real international trading activities. ## What I Am Looking For I am specifically looking for someone who has personally managed international trade operations—not only provided consultancy. The ideal mentor has practical experience with: - Building and growing an import-export business. - Importing and exporting goods between the EU and MENA region. - Finding, evaluating and negotiating with suppliers and international buyers. - Market research and product selection. - International sales strategy and business development. - Customs procedures in both the EU and MENA region. - HS code classification. - Union Customs Code (UCC). - GCC, Maghreb and Levant customs regulations. - VAT, customs duties and trade compliance. - Incoterms® 2020. - Import and export documentation. - Freight forwarding and international logistics. - Sea, air and road transportation. - Certificates of Origin, EUR.1, ATR, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills and other shipping documents. - Letters of Credit (L/C), Documentary Collections and other international payment methods. - Trade finance and risk management. - Solving customs issues, shipment delays and compliance problems. How I Would Like to Learn I am looking for regular online mentoring sessions where we work together using real business situations whenever possible. I would like to learn through: - Practical case studies. - Analysis of real commercial documents (with confidential information removed if necessary). - Step-by-step explanations of complete import and export operations. - Live problem-solving. - Questions and answers. - Best practices developed through real professional experience. I want to understand not only what to do, but also why each decision is made. ## Ideal Candidate The ideal freelancer should have: - 10+ years of practical experience in international trade (preferred). - Proven experience trading between Europe and one or more MENA countries. - Experience working with manufacturers, distributors or trading companies. - Strong customs and logistics knowledge. - Excellent understanding of international commercial operations. - Ability to teach complex topics clearly. - Fluent English.
