Phase 1 of this piece of work is to come up with a proof of concept before advancing any further. In short, i want to understand whether it is possible to come up with an electrical device just smaller than the size of your hand (possibly smaller), that is water proof but at the same time can analyze chemicals, and then wirelessly send that data to a computer program for analysis. For example, a device that sits attached to the inside of a bucket (or thereof) and as the level of, for example water, rises enough to saturate the device an autmatic reading of that water is taken (obviously the device is pre programmed to search for a predetermined list of chemicals) and then that data is wirelessly sent to a computer program for analysis. The device needs to be designed in a way that it is robust and that it will send new results everytime the water level rises enough for the device to get an adequate reading of the water (this could be multiple times a day). In other words, it must be re-usable.
I would also like phase 1 to include not just whether it is possible, but also a blue print as to the steps forward in order to identify the economic viability of entering into a phase 2 - technical design.
