Hello, I am currently building a wordpress website that will not function primarily as a blog but rather a CMS. I want to display a google map on my website that can display hundreds of markers (annotations) they will all be the same color (red) but I would like to allow users to change the color of the marker from red to a choice of 2 different colors say orange or green. In a nutshell members of my site will visit a location on my map and once they visit that location they have to choose whether the location is either Good(Green Marker) or Bad(Orange Marker). The users would select my default red marker and the be presented with an option that would allow them to change the markers and once changed they would update on my map for all to see. I would also like these changes to be password protected so only my members could change the markers after they received the passcode for that paticular marker. I'm pretty sure It's not impossible to update or change icons from the front-end but it would require you to do some custom PHP development to let users enter the correct icon (good/bad) and then modify the map before it's displayed to set the icons appropriately so all can then view the updated icons/marker/annotations whatever you want to call them. I apologize for rambling and I'm not sure if this is within your abilities. I can most certainly explain in more detail what I am envisioning if you feel this is something you can do. I dont have a huge budget but we can negotiate a total price for the project and if I have to do it in stages I will. You have come highly reccomended and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I primarily want to be able to pull the data from the website/database and have it function in my iphone app the same as it will on my website.
