Require something which may require more discussion, which we can do at some point. Basically,I will attach a file here. It is a file of made up patient names and is just a small representation of what we have, and whatever is created should be easily transported for a larger database.
Basically, we already have an excel file of 4000 patients, with date which request for medications is received, date of dispatch and then delivery. Each person has a start date decided when we take them on, and then we deliver exactly 1 month from that date, every month. This is a formula in the spreadsheet which we basically have to keep adjusting every couple of months so its current dates.
What I need is some kind of automated system, which may be better done with Access VBA or Visual Basic ( maybe you have a better suggestion). Must be able to automatically set a start date, then easily have all their subsequent monthly dates. Should be some kind of button the computer operator will press, which shows when a request for that patients medication comes in (they still need to request every month, or doesn't get delivered). It will maybe date and time stamp some entry into the database ( only need to keep that data for 3 months max then overwrite).
Also, should be a function to add new patients and delete them, and it should read off the original excel file and spit new entries onto it so its almost like a backup copy. May also be some other functions that I want to add in, but probably better if we have a quick chat and iron out exactly what we want to do.
