Quick fix needed which should take an experienced developer a few minutes (or less) to answer.
I have created multiple validation rules which are working. Each validation rule (total of 15) account for 5 stages (3 rules per stage, or "StageName".)
If a user moves from stage 1 to stage 4, they have to fill in the 3 rules on stage 4 which is fine, but once they have filled in the 3 empty areas with a value, the stage commits. What needs to occur is for each previous stage to also be validated before committing the data, so that if a user tries to go from stage 1 to stage 4, the system will check to see if all previous stages have been validated.
While this can be done writing multiple lines of validation code, I am looking for a simple rule that checks if the previous stage(s) data has returned a value.
