Extensions to an existing Illustrator PlugIn (see our previous project)
1. The point of origin (0,0 - XY co-ordinates) of the vector data copied to the clipboard is positioned upper left. The application that receives the data has its point of origin lower left. This means that when the vectors are inserted from the clipboard the vector data is positioned below and outside the drawing area. This seems to be something to do with CS6 as we did not have this problem before.
PlugIn extension: Recalculate the vector data before exporting it to the clipboard so that the point of origin is positioned lower left.
2. The PlugIn now displays an error message when the vector data contains more than 300 (?) vectors.
PlugIn extension: Increase the number of vectors allowed in a picture to 3500.
3. In the receiving application, the maximum number of anchor points per segment is 255. If there are more than 255, the remaining vector is cut off and the vector is no longer usable. However the distorted vector is imported. In Illustrator it is possible to reduce the number anchor points per segment without losing the shape of the vector.
PlugIn extention: If a segment has more than 255 anchor points, reduce the number of anchor points so that the shape of the segment (vector) is not altered.
4. Update the plugin to make it usable in CS6.
