I have spent some time looking at your Kickstarter page, and I'd be willing to help you try and get your project funded. I think the Dub Cadet is an interesting new instrument and I would be glad to have a part in getting it produced.
Although I have not personally tried to get a Kickstarter project funded, I have been a member of the site since its inception and have seen what elements successful projects have in common.
My plan for your project involves several different aspects:
1) I would like to update the description of the project to more quickly grab a reader's attention and to more clearly explain what the importance of the Dub Cadet is.
2) We want to make sure to frequently update the Kickstarter page in order to thank those that have contributed and encouraging them to spread the word -- the people who have already supported you believe in your project, and they are the most valuable resource you have going forward.
3) I want to cut your video to be much shorter and to show the instrument right away, rather than making a viewer wait to see the instrument.
4) I think that one audience that you haven't addressed in your description is kids. Although the Dub Cadet isn't a toy, it would be a great gift for a child who can't otherwise play music, and I think that we should focus on that in your description.
5) Following from #4, I think that we should be in touch with blogs that review and report on new toys and send them your concept. We can also post the idea on forums that discuss new toys.
I hope that you offer me a chance to work with you on this project.
Yours,
Dan Gray
