Marking assistant - Hospitality/ cookery field

We are seeking a freelancer who can assist our trainers in assessment marking and teaching preparation. Payment is US$500 per month. The project is an ongoing task throughout the month. The successful applicants must be a graduate in any of the areas below:

- Hospitality/Culinary Arts/Travel and Tourism/Cookery

The main task is to assist trainers in conducting training and marking assessments.

Detail of the task:

• Assist trainers in preparing materials for training and assessment

o Preparing a mapping analysis between course curriculums and the requirements from the

training package as found on [login to view URL]

• Assist trainers in observing practical demonstrations and assessments

• Assist trainers in preparing for training sessions such as in creating lesson plans

• Collaborate well with other college staff and regularly attend and participate in staff

meetings, assessment validation processes, and professional development.

• Work alongside delegated college staff in the development and validation of training

resources

• Provide administrative support in academic-related tasks such as in maintaining training and

assessment records and student’s academic outcomes.

• Support learners in achieving their learning goals (if required)

• Assist the school in ensuring all training resources are compliant with the requirements of

Training Packages/Accredited Courses and/or Customised Industry Courses (e.g., from

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• High level of attention to detail

• Research and information searching skill

• Ability to take initiative and work independently when required

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact well with staff and students from

diverse backgrounds

• Excellent computer skills and digital literacy e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

• Possess a hardworking and committed attitude

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• Training and assessment credentials in vocational education (e.g. TAE40116 Certificate IV in

Training and Assessment) is desirable but not mandatory

• Willingness to undertake professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in

vocational education training and learning
