Mandatory Health creates innovative instructional materials that combine industry-standard information, in areas such as anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and reimbursement methodologies, with detailed medical coding and payer-specific policies. Mandatory Health understands that the healthcare industry is a network of interconnected parts and that the market trend in healthcare professional education is to divide those components into separate sectors. This practice often leaves students well versed in one area and wholly unprepared in another.
Mandatory Health believes that through an interdisciplinary approach to the education of future or current healthcare professionals, we can close the gap between the providers and administrators and the care team and patients. Consciousness of CMS regulations, payer policies on certain procedures, and proper coding and billing practices, is necessary for every healthcare professional to ascertain the efficacy of his or her efforts and the assure the continued well-being of all parties involved.
Mandatory Health wants to help create a more transparent healthcare industry by communicating, to all healthcare professionals, the regulations, processes, and policies that impact the industry as a whole. Mandatory Health seeks to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge it takes to make more informed decisions, provide more quality care, and educate others about the many facets of the industry that exert influence over general patient experience. By educating healthcare professionals in this way, we believe the overall quality of care will improve and, consequently, patients will be more satisfied with and engaged in their care. Well-informed healthcare professionals are able to advise patients of the processes that determine their access to care such as medical necessity and are more likely to discuss alternative treatments and preventive measures as they have a deeper understanding of the billing procedures that affect their reimbursement.
