Various self help and nonfiction informational manuscripts on technical subjects

My authors have many self-help and technical nonfiction manuscripts that need meticulous proofreading before going to book design and formatting. I’m looking for someone who can work directly in Google Docs, using Track Changes. You must do these tasks: tighten grammar and punctuation, smooth out consistency and flow from chapter to chapter, and verify any facts or statistics that appear. All edits should align with the Chicago Manual of Style, but we want the writing to remain unique to the author's voice. Because the book is already structurally solid, this is a true proofreading pass rather than a developmental edit; accuracy and a light, respectful touch are key. Deliverables • A marked-up Word file showing every change • A clean, final file ready for typesetting • A brief style sheet noting any recurring decisions or queries If you have recent experience polishing nonfiction, please let me know your timeline for an 80,000 word manuscript and other 40,000 word + manuscripts, and include three references.
