Children’s Magazine Content Creation

I’m assembling a brand-new magazine for youngsters aged 6–8 and I need a creative partner who can supply the actual content that will fill each issue. The tone must strike the sweet spot between playful and informative, because every page should entertain while it teaches. Here’s the mix I’m after: • Short stories that weave educational nuggets into fun fantasy or science-based adventures. Think 600–700 words each, lively characters, clear moral or factual takeaway. • Illustrated comics that burst with colour and visual humour yet still reinforce simple STEM or language-arts concepts. • Puzzles and games—crosswords, mazes, spot-the-difference, logic riddles—designed for emerging readers, complete with answer keys. Themes to keep circling back to are education, fantasy & adventure, and science & nature. Variety matters, but cohesion matters more; I’d like every piece to feel as though it belongs in the same universe. Final hand-off should be: 1. Print-ready PDFs (A4, CMYK, 300 dpi) for each individual item. 2. Source files (InDesign, Illustrator or high-res layered PSDs) so my layout artist can drop them straight into the master template. 3. A simple usage note for parents/teachers outlining the learning objective for each activity or story. If you’re able to both write and illustrate, fantastic; if you excel in only one area, note that too and I can pair up complementary freelancers.
