Junior Researcher with Industrial Experience

We need a junior researcher who can comfortably straddle computer vision ,ML/DL and natural-language processing for industrial research . The project is aimed at creating an original algorithm, rather than tweaking existing recognition, detection, segmentation, sentiment, translation, or summarisation pipelines. In other words, the vision component lies outside the usual “image recognition / object detection / image segmentation” trio, and the language component also sits beyond the common NLP benchmarks. Details of these unconventional sub-topics will be shared once we start, but expect cross-modal data, real-time constraints, and noisy industrial environments. Your day-to-day work will revolve around literature scouting, rapid prototyping (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, HuggingFace transformers are our typical stack), experiment design, and clear write-ups that can feed directly into both internal decision papers and, potentially, an academic submission. Deliverables I will need from you: • A concise research plan outlining hypotheses, datasets, and evaluation metrics. • Well-commented prototype code that can be reproduced on our GPU workstation. • A short experimental report highlighting results, failure cases, and next steps. • A draft manuscript-style document summarizing the algorithm and findings. Acceptance criteria: reproducible training runs, clear metric improvements over a provided baseline, and documentation that a colleague can follow without extra guidance.
