A gentle, intimate reel lives or dies on one decision most editors get wrong: the cut rhythm. Soothing footage cut on every beat of a calm track feels anxious anyway, because the eye is being moved too often. Maternity work wants long holds, cuts on the breath of the music rather than the beat, and transitions that are mostly simple dissolves or none at all. The nature shots you want to spotlight are exactly the ones that benefit from being held longest. Colour: soft, slightly warm, skin protected first and greens pulled gently toward earth tones so the outdoor sequences and any indoor footage sit in the same world. Sound design that is felt rather than heard: a little wind and ambience under the outdoor shots, the track ducked where the ambience carries the moment. You would get a first cut to react to, then the finished master in full resolution and a compressed version for online sharing, as you asked. Roughly how much footage is there, and do you have a track already, or do you want a licensed one proposed? The track choice shapes the whole edit, so I would want to settle it before cutting.
