Event-Based Family Photo Album Website

I need a simple, well-organized website that lets my family store and browse our photos, neatly grouped by events—birthdays, holidays, reunions and anything else we upload over time. The focus is on an attractive gallery layout, quick image uploads and an easy way to tag each picture to its corresponding event so that everyone can jump straight to the memories they want to relive. A clean, responsive design is important because relatives will be viewing the album on phones, tablets and desktops. I also want a straightforward backend or CMS where I can add new categories and drag-and-drop batches of photos without touching code. If you prefer WordPress, a lightweight PHP framework or another familiar tool, I’m open to whichever option keeps long-term maintenance simple for non-techy family members.
