Job post summary Date posted: August 24, 2025 Job description: Computer Systems Analyst – Federal Contract (VA Orlando) Company: EDG Solutions LLC (SDVOSB Prime Contractor) Location: Orlando, FL (on-site at Orlando VA Medical Center and affiliates in Central Florida) Job Type: Contract – 1099 Independent Contractor Payment: Paid monthly upon invoice approval (no benefits provided) Openings: 1 Overview: EDG Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Computer Systems Analyst to support the Orlando VA Healthcare System’s Industrial Control Systems (ICS) network. This is a federal contract role requiring advanced Cisco networking and cybersecurity expertise to maintain, secure, and expand mission-critical systems. Responsibilities: Support and maintain the Industrial Control Network (ICN) across multiple VA facilities in Central Florida. Configure and manage Cisco routing, switching, VLANs, and VRF-lite environments. Provide documentation and monthly reports on ICN infrastructure. Troubleshoot network, IP telephony, CCTV, and access control systems. Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 3, VA standards, and security policies. Support project planning, migrations, and collaboration with VA staff and vendors. Travel Requirements: Position requires regular travel between VA sites in Central Florida (Orlando, Lake Baldwin, Kissimmee, Tavares, Clermont, Daytona, Viera, Palm Bay, Port Orange, etc.). Travel costs between sites are not reimbursed by the Government — must be included in your compensation expectation. Qualifications: 10+ years of IT infrastructure/network experience. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – active. (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – active. Experience with Cisco 6500/6509 data center equipment, Catalyst access switches, WLAN controllers, and APs. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Must be eligible for a Tier II background investigation. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (one-hour lunch). Occasional weekends/holidays as scheduled with notice.
