Project Title Design a Logic Gate Based Non-Programmable Sensor-Actuator PCB — Prototype Development Project Overview I need a custom electronics board designed and prototyped around a combination of Logic Gates, built for a non-programmable, hardware-only sensor-to-actuator decision system (no microcontroller/firmware involved). The board should be robust, classroom/hobbyist-safe, and ready for small-batch prototyping. Concept The core idea is a hardware logic control board where inputs (sensors which uses only digital signal like IR sensor, PIR sensor, LDR sensor etc.) and outputs (actuators/dc motors, LED and buzzer) are combined using any gate logic — with no coding or programming required. Detailed Requirements 1. Power Requirements Power input via a 9V battery. Onboard conversion to a regulated 5V supply using an LM7805 (or equivalent regulator IC). The regulated 5V output must be fed to the sensor input ports. 2. Indicator LEDs Power indication LED (Red) — shows the board is powered on. Status LEDs (Green) — one for each of the 4 output ports, indicating active output state. 4 additional LEDs to indicate inversion status — one LED per output port, showing when that port's invert switch has flipped the output signal (i.e., a dedicated "Inverted" indicator distinct from the standard Green status LED). 3. Connectors — Right-Angle JST 1x 2-pin JST connector — for battery input. 4x 3-pin JST connectors — for Inputs. 4x 3-pin JST connectors — for Outputs. 4. Output Configuration All outputs must be paired with switches to allow interconnection or separate/independent connection between ports. Input-to-output routing must support 4 connection types ( this is a must) : 1 Input → 1 Output 1 Input → Multiple Outputs Multiple Inputs → 1 Output Multiple Inputs → Multiple Outputs 5. Invert Switches 4 invert switches — one per output port — that flip/reverse the logic signal of that specific output. Each of these 4 output ports must be paired with its own dedicated inversion-indicator LED (see Section 2) that lights up when the invert switch for that port is active. Deliverables Complete schematic design (KiCad / Eagle / Altium — specify your preferred tool) PCB layout (Gerber files) Bill of Materials (BOM) Fully assembled and tested working prototype (1 unit) Basic test/validation report confirming all logic combinations (AND/OR, invert, all 4 input-output connection types) function correctly Skills Required PCB Design & Layout Analog/Digital Electronics (Logic Gates, Voltage Regulation) Embedded Hardware Prototyping Experience with JST connector-based modular hardware (preferred) Notes for Freelancers This is a non-programmable board — no microcontroller, firmware, or software logic is required. All decision logic must be implemented in hardware (discrete logic gates / ICs). Please share similar past projects (logic-gate based boards, sensor/actuator interface boards, or educational STEM hardware) if available. Open to discussing timeline and prototype iteration count before final quote. Payment after successful deliverable no matter you take 3-4 attempts in prototyping.
