I'm in search of someone with a high level of knowledge of chemistry/biology. There's a vegan product I'm developing that is pretty much completed, however, the smell of one of the ingredients is unbearable and is ruining an otherwise completed product.
After extensive research, we've found that the cause of the strong smell is most likely due to the highly volatile mono-terpenes and sesquiterpenes in the ingredient. We've tried a few things to remove the scent, all to no effect yet.
We need someone who can take a better look at the actual compounds causing the smell and find a way to remove them, lessen their effect or get them to react/break down (safely - It should still be edible) into other compounds. The difficult part is, we need the ingredient to maintain its current properties.
We're just looking for science-backed theory for now and we will test the method(s) provided ourself. You will be paid regardless of whether it works, as long as we see the theory has been thought about.
