I’m creating a one-off, 8-inch plastic hair comb with a unique, artistic look, but it still needs to follow every rule for injection moulding so I can hand the file straight to a toolmaker. I already have the general shape sketched out; what’s missing is a fully detailed CAD model and manufacturing package built in either SolidWorks or Fusion 360. The model must include proper draft angles, uniform wall thickness, generous fillets and any other mould-ready features you’d add if you were sending this to be cut in steel tomorrow. Please keep the organic, imaginative feel of the design while making sure it can be ejected cleanly from a single-cavity mould in standard plastic. Deliverables • Native file: SLDPRT or Fusion 360 archive (your choice) • Neutral formats: STEP and IGES • Fully dimensioned 2D manufacturing drawings with critical tolerances, section views and call-outs for draft angles • Clear indication of parting line, gate location suggestions and ejector pin zones (simple notes are fine) I’ll review the native file inside my own SolidWorks install, so parametric, well-named features are important. Once the design is approved, I’ll need the drawings exported as PDF. Let me know if anything is unclear—otherwise, I’m ready to get this comb into production.
