The world’s best open-source multi-media (that is, video and audio) player for Windows is called VLC. To make it simpler for .Net programmers to use VLC, several VLC wrappers have been developed. A description of how to write the most highly-rated of these is in an article at [login to view URL]
Despite it being rated so highly, I am having difficulty in following the instructions at the above-mentioned article. When I install VLC and then my wrapper, my wrapper will function correctly. My ego is not so high that I cannot admit that the problem lies with me and not with this well-regarded article. It is for this reason that I am offering $US250 for someone familiar with .Net and C# or VB (with a strong preference for VB) to write the wrapper. This project should take only an hour or so to complete so $US250 represents good dollars per hour.
To establish that the freelancer to whom I award the Project has completed it successfully, I ask for a simple .Net Solution and Project(s) which use the VLC wrapper described in the above-mentioned SourceForge article and developed by the Freelancer to whom this Freelancer Project is awarded. I would then test that the Solution and Project(s) play a number of media files.
