Hi, I'm looking for a Unity C# developer working on the latest version of Unity 5 to help out on a 2d platformer I'm creating. This game is going to be published by a publisher so code has to be of high standard and must run on multiple devices, including Android, Windows, iOS devices (starting from iPhone 4S) as well Steam platforms. Currently the game's character is using a Jelly Sprite physics system ([login to view URL]). The problem with using this asset is that is works on Unity physics, and using that sort of physics system on a platformer is that it restricts movement for platform gameplay and results in unpredictable behavior. Example is when you want to move up a hill you get very slow movement due to the way the physics gravity is working. Instead I need the gameplay to be similar to Leo's Fortune, example ([login to view URL]). Another example is with moving platforms. If you've tried to get the player to stay on a moving platform its not as simple as it sounds. I need a system that doesn't parent the player to the platform but rather apply the force of the moving platform so that player sticks to it, example ([login to view URL]). As you can see from the videos that sort of behavior is not efficient to achieve using the 2d physics system from Unity. It requires ray casting system to be in place that determines when the player is on specific layers. Being I need the character to move in a jelly sort of way a system also needs to be implemented that will deform a sprite/mesh in a jelly sort of way using ray cast detection on a CIRCLULAR character. Important to note that the player must be circular. For better details kindly looks at the description given by the lead programmer of Leo's Fortune ([login to view URL]) where he states the best way to attain this result is by shooting 16 rays from the center of a circle. Code must be written in a way that would easily allow me to adjust the gravity/floatiness of the player in the air in realtime in order to be able to have the player glide in space as well move under water. Also important that the player must be able to push physics based object without having the behavior of leaving the ground when doing so. Example: - [login to view URL] - [login to view URL] I need to have character behaving in a very specific sort of way which is not as straight forward to create so please be sure you're able to deliver before considering. Hello sir. I have 5 years of game programming experience and 2.5 working on Unity. In my portfolio you can see some platforms game I've made: Metal Union has a castlevania SoN like character controller and a Super Mario World like camera controller, the character works without physics2D. In the case of LoA (another from my portfolio) the character is driven by Unity physics but has the particularity of not slowing down while walking up on a slope (I did this using the normal of the character's feet). If you want to give them a try please contact me. My offer is for a job of 20 days, I really don't think this will take me more than that.
