I have some code ([url removed, login to view]) which successfully sends a command to a dial up modem
and reports if it was successfully accepted. I execute '[url removed, login to view] com7 ati4 OK 1'
and see: 'ati4 command accepted.' or if I use a non-valid command (ex: atg4) I see:
'atg4 command rejected!' This program works great for me but I would like the code made
a little more rigorous with some code to handle exception events. Ex: If I enter this:
'[url removed, login to view] com1 ati4 OK 1' (ie: using a non-valid com port) I see a windows pop-up as so:
[url removed, login to view] has stopped working [Close program] ... However I would prefer if the
program would cleanly terminate saying something like 'Modem not found on COM?'
I'm attaching the 128 line [url removed, login to view] file in case anyone is curious to have a look at it.
If anyone out there may be interested in adding the exception handling code I mentioned,
I'm willing to pay $[url removed, login to view] usd *after successfully testing it with a non-valid com port arg.*
If more than one coder contacts me I'lll give preference to someone who has a dial up
modem and is decently proficient with C#. It's not that this particular request will be
difficult, but there may very well be other coding requests in future I can use help with.
