Crude Hauling Web App – MVP Software Specification This document defines the minimum viable product (MVP) requirements for a dispatch, driver, and customer-facing web application used for crude oil hauling. The system tracks crude oil loads from pickup at wells/batteries through delivery to terminals, with built-in safeguards, role permissions, and industry-standard measurement logic. 1. Roles & Permissions Admin / Owner: Full system access, configuration, audit review. Dispatcher: Create and edit sites, tanks, terminals, strap charts; schedule and assign loads. Driver: View assigned loads only; enter pickup and delivery measurements; upload photos. Customer: View own loads, tickets, and invoices (optional phase). Locked Rule: Site coordinates, gate codes, and access notes are editable by Dispatch/Admin only. 2. Well / Site Information Each well or battery site must store precise location and access information: - Site name and customer - GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude via map pin or manual entry) - Gate code and lock combination (optional) - Access instructions and hazards - Optional site photos (gate, entrance, battery) 3. Tank Configuration (Dummy-Proof) Each site may contain one or more tanks. Tanks support two measurement modes: Formula Mode (Fast Estimate): Dispatcher enters inside diameter and max working height using feet and inches. The system calculates capacity automatically. Formula Used: Barrels = 0.559 × Diameter2 × Height (all in feet). Strap Chart Mode (Accurate): Dispatcher uploads a strapping table mapping inches to barrels. 4. Driver Gauge Entry Drivers enter tank gauges using dropdowns to prevent errors: - Feet - Inches (0–11) - Fraction (1⁄4, 1⁄2, 3⁄4; optional ■) The system converts gauges to barrels automatically and displays before/after volumes. 5. Delivery Terminals Dispatchers may add and manage delivery terminals including: - Terminal name and GPS location - Address and operating notes Drivers log delivery events including BOL/ticket number, net barrels delivered, arrival/departure times, and ticket photos. 6. Load Workflow Standard load statuses tracked by the system: Requested → Scheduled → En Route Pickup → On Site → Loaded → En Route Delivery → At Terminal → Delivered → Closed Each status change records GPS coordinates, timestamp, and user. 7. Notifications Customers receive automated notifications via SMS or email for: - En route to pickup - Arrived on site - Pickup completed - Delivery completed (optional) 8.
