At our recreational bb gun target shooting range, we count the score manually.
I need to put a camera that streams images as in the attached file to a micro-controller.
I need a working system to detect a bb gun shot pursing the target.
The system is to grade the accuracy of the hit
The micro-controller could be any (arduino, raspberry pi, beaglebone ….your selection).
The camera could be any (you select to make it easy for you)
Camera is to be placed 80cm below target and 60 cm away from target.
Target is 40cm diameter.
Camera and micro-controller should be around $150.
The image similar to the attached could be modified by you to make it easy for you to process the image.
You can add marking (black and white) to help you with orientation of image.
The image could be placed with a tilt of up to 5 degrees by the user (by mistake) and your software should compensate for that.
The calculated result should be transferred to an arduino mega via tx rx (along with the image – time is not an issue after the grading is done).

If the numbers on the image are going to give you a headache, we could do without them.
In general, you can design the target to suit your processing best.
The user will push (a button) to signify start grading ( a message will be sent to you serially).
The user will push another button to signify stop grading.
