The application is intended to help impaired people in communicating when not able to speak and operate a mouse.
The application refers to a method developed by “Viva la Vita ONLUS” and consists of a table (ETRAN table) with a specific layout of the alphabet that will help the impaired person to communicate one letter at the time selecting the position of that letter on the table. The application will display the ETRAN table and will show a red rectangle moving around four different areas, each containing a group of letters. The red rectangle will move across the table until a hit from the impaired person is performed on any of the buttons of a bluetooth keyboard or touching the Ipad screen and so the red rectangle will highlight an area and a word is pronounced to help the impaired person. When highlighted the area can be selected with another hit on the keyboard (or the screen) that will also start a smaller red rectangle to move across the letters in the area. When the smaller rectangle highlight a letter the same letter is pronounced and can be selected with an additional hit. When selected the letter will be shown in a text box below the table, letter by letter words are composed in the text box.
