Develop software written in C to connect the microchip PIC18F4550 microcontroller to a 802.11 wireless network using a usb wireless adapter based on the zd1211 chipset. No hardware development is required, a PICDEM Full Speed USB demonstration board and the wireless adapter can be provided if necessary. The software must allow the PICDEM board to detect all wireless networks within range and attempt to connect to each one in sequence. If a connection is successful, the software must acquire an IP address using DHCP, and send out a message indicating successfull connection. The software must be able to process ARP and IP packets, support TCP/IP and UDP communications, and implement WEP and WPA security. As far as i concerned, this project is a mission impossible. PIC18F4550 microcontroller and zd1211 are both USB device, they can't be connected at all.
