I need an EA that will basically:
1- constantly query a remote database to get signal parameters: currency pair, price, buy/sell, TP, SL..etc
2- enter a pending order in MT4 with the obtained parameters.
3- check closed orders and update the same database and same record with result (win/lose)
If it's too complicated to connect to a database directly, how about if the EA opens a web url and reads the parameters from there, I understand that it is possible to use the import feature to import [url removed, login to view] and use it's methods to communicate to a server with the following functions:
So using those functions, the EA can open a url and read the file. The file text will be standard and simple e.g:
(Where 123 is the record ID, EUR/USd is the currency pair,1.543 is the price..etc)
If there are no signals to place, the file text will say something like "no signal"
Similarly, the EA can open a different URL after an order is closed and pass parameters in the querystring e.g
[url removed, login to view];result=win
The web pages will be asp pages that query or update the database, I'm an asp programmer and I'll do that myself. You just have to open the urls.
1) access code:
I will be distributing the EA to others and I need each EA to have an associated access code with it that is passed when signals url is called e.g
[url removed, login to view]
The url page will first check to see if the access code is valid before giving the paramters. If the access code is not valid, then the page will give a standard message like "invalid access code" and the EA stop functioning and display a message that the access code is no longer valid.
2) configuration file or exe install wizard:
I would like the configuration not to be hard coded. So the getsignal url, updateurl, access code..etc to come from a seperate text file that is given with the EA or if it's not too complicated, have a wizard to install the EA that asks the questions during installation.
please include a breakdown of price.

Hi Omar, I've recently developed an EA which connects to an access database through ODBC and a customizable dll (c++ - vc6) that is able to perform insert/update/delete operations.
