I have a 2nd part client that requires a GUI that will download, manipulate and re-upload some hex values to some custom electronics via a USB connection. It must be built for Wiondows XP or Vista and it does not matter if it is in VB or C++ etc.
The USB connection from the PC will be made via the ATMEL AT90USB which wil be programmed seperately to send and recieve 32 k chunks of data to and from the pc according to a pre-aranged protocol that relies on timed requests from the electronics. The GUI will represent a view into a BMW vehicle and will contain 8 different maps that will be catagorised with meaninful names.
Split work into 3 chunks.
1) Take a binary file of typical hashvalues and display on the GUI in the 8 catagories.
2) Download from the device pre-existing hex and display on the GUI. 3) Enable manipulation of individual or groups of hex values and upload those changed values to the electronics. Attached ius a typical dump fromn the electronics that will be used by the software.
here is the attachment...
