I'm a retired union sheet metal worker. I have designed a barndominium, part home part shop to build on my property on the Santa FE Trail Ranch Las Animas County, Trinidad, Colorado. with your typical 12' on center post pole barn structure in the shop area, and exposed open beam large timber in house portion of Barndominium. With covered parking and RV storage with gravel floor and entry ( also with open beam in the entry area ) on north side. West side has various sizes of windows and french door with a double sided fireplace and chimney with all structural open beam also a wood or composite wrap around deck to the south [login to view URL] south side also has various sizes of windows and one man door, also has a deck over the lower roof off the master [login to view URL] the east side I have a 48" man door, a 14'x14' roll up door inside of 2 7'x14' slider barn style doors, and 2 of 8'x14' barn style doors for RV storage with gravel floor. First floor, concrete floor in all shop area wood structure over a 24'x24' basement/cellar, 2nd floor loft all open beam that goes 10'6"over concrete shop floor with a bearing wall to carry upstairs [login to view URL] to be 7' deep to floor 24'x24' inside the footprint of main floor, with 1 man door at west end of building under deck.
