Buddy Press Expert to improve event creation and enable members option to turn off notifications of events. 6/22/26 Tasks [login to view URL] A. Create Event – mobile using chrome: 1. Venue dropdown list usually sticks in mobile chrome if title and description added first. If venue added first it works consistently. Previously main form title, front end and cancel option made to fill in on ticket/rsvp form. See if causing venue sticking issue and modify or if other reason. No issue on pc using chrome. 2. RSVP button on upcoming events from mobile disappear at midnight before the event begins. Previously the start and end time for rsvp/tickets was hidden or start and end time for rsvps made as when event posts and when event begins to simplify form but this causes the problem. No problem on PC since start/end time is added manually in that form. Fix “Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS** which controls frontend display styling appearance and add back manual changing of rsvp start and end time but hide start current default time of 12 am. Allow only date and end time of ticket sale. Rsvp button should not disappear now. Will need day or 2 to confirm that. 3. Hide: a) “Need Recurring Events: box b) “Event Categories” – should always be upcoming. c) “Events Status” unless event already created can be deleted by member here. d) Tickets/New RSVP/ Description (done on main form so don’t need) B. Notifications to members: Enable turn on & off by any member of new event emails. Install plugin if needed for this. In 2 days. Second day needed to observe rsvp button issue.

Hi there, I can see the hidden friction here: mobile event creation is getting tripped up by form behavior, and the RSVP logic is losing consistency at midnight. I’ve worked with BuddyPress and event-related WordPress customizations, so I can trace the venue dropdown issue, restore the RSVP timing logic without breaking the mobile flow, and cleanly hide the fields you no longer want exposed. I’ll also add a member-level notification toggle for new event emails, either through a suitable plugin or a light custom solution if the plugin path is not reliable. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. Could you confirm which event plugin is powering the current RSVP/ticket flow, and whether notification preferences should apply sitewide or only to event emails? Also, do you want the RSVP cutoff based strictly on event start time or on a manually editable date/time window? Looking forward to your reply so we can finalize the exact plan. Thanks, Asad

Hello, I see you need help improving the event creation process and notifications on your BuddyPress site. From what you've described, it seems like you're facing issues with the venue dropdown not functioning correctly on mobile and the RSVP button disappearing at midnight before events. I’d start by investigating the form fields and their interactions to ensure the venue dropdown works smoothly on mobile. Additionally, I would address the RSVP button visibility by adjusting the start and end time settings as you've outlined. With 7+ years of experience in PHP, WordPress, and BuddyPress, I've tackled similar problems before. I can help refine the notification settings so that members can easily manage their email preferences as well. One question I have is whether you have a specific plugin in mind for the notification feature, or would you like me to suggest options? Best regards, Ivan Mandinski

Hi there, It looks like you’re looking for someone to improve the event creation process on your BuddyPress site and give members the option to manage their event notification settings. I can definitely help with that. With 4+ years of experience in PHP, WordPress, and BuddyPress, I have a solid understanding of how to tackle the venue dropdown issue and the disappearing RSVP button on mobile. I’ll check the form’s structure to see if that’s causing the venue glitch and ensure that the RSVP button is visible until the event starts. Additionally, I can streamline the notification settings for members, allowing them to easily toggle event emails on and off. To clarify, do you have a specific plugin in mind for managing the notification settings, or would you like me to recommend one? Best regards, Arslan Shahid

Hi, The real issue here is not just CSS tweaks but inconsistent event state handling between mobile Chrome and desktop, combined with how RSVP availability is being calculated from hidden or implicit start/end time logic. You mentioned venue dropdown sticking on mobile, RSVP buttons disappearing at midnight, and the need to simplify event forms while keeping backend RSVP timing intact, which points to a conflict between frontend form order, JavaScript validation, and event timestamp rules. I will first stabilize the event creation flow so venue selection, title, and description no longer trigger mobile locking, then refactor RSVP visibility logic so it relies on explicit start/end parameters instead of default midnight behavior, and finally clean up the UI by hiding unnecessary fields without breaking event lifecycle rules. For notifications, I will implement a member-level toggle using a compatible BuddyPress/BuddyBoss notification control so users can opt in or out of event emails cleanly without affecting event logic. Before adjusting RSVP logic, do you want RSVP cutoff strictly based on calendar date only, or should it respect a specific time window down to the hour for better control? Hello dear, I’m Md. Toriqul Islam, an experienced WordPress Developer with 10+ years of expertise in debugging plugin conflicts, mobile-specific UI issues, and customizing event/booking systems without breaking existing functionality. I understand you need fixes for a mobile Chrome issue in event creation (venue dropdown sticking depending on field order), RSVP button disappearing at midnight due to start/end time logic, and cleanup of unnecessary event form fields. You also need controlled customization via Additional CSS and proper handling of RSVP visibility so the button remains consistent across devices. My approach is to isolate the mobile-specific JS/CSS behavior, adjust event scheduling logic for RSVP timing, refine backend field visibility rules, and ensure email notification preferences can be toggled per member using a plugin if required. I’m ready to start immediately and can deliver you observation window with stable, tested fixes. Best regards, Md. Toriqul Islam

Greetings, It looks like you need help enhancing the event creation process and improving notification settings for your BuddyPress site. From what you described, the main issues are related to the venue dropdown sticking on mobile, the RSVP button disappearing too soon, and some unnecessary fields cluttering the event creation page. To tackle these, I would first investigate the venue dropdown issue to determine if the form sequence is causing the problem. For the RSVP button, I can adjust the appearance settings and ensure that it stays visible until the event starts. I'll also clean up the event creation form by hiding irrelevant fields, making it more user-friendly. For the notification settings, I can set up a plugin that allows members to manage their event notifications easily. I believe these adjustments will create a smoother experience for your users. Best regards, Muhammad Arshman

Hello, I can fix your WordPress, BuddyPress, PHP, CSS, event form and notification issues on eclecticmusiceventsandmore.com. I have experience working inside existing WordPress sites, plugin conflicts, mobile layout bugs, form behavior, and targeted CSS/PHP fixes without rebuilding. I’ll inspect the event creation flow, fix the mobile Chrome venue dropdown issue, restore manual RSVP start/end handling while hiding the unwanted default time, and hide the unnecessary frontend fields safely. For notifications, I’ll enable a member-level option to turn new event emails on or off, using a plugin if suitable or a small custom fix if needed. The 2-day timeline makes sense because the RSVP midnight issue needs observation. I am ready to start. Best regards, Smit

Hello, I can help with the BuddyPress event flow on eclecticmusiceventsandmore.com. I understand the core issues: the mobile Chrome venue dropdown sticking after title/description entry, the RSVP button disappearing at midnight, cleaner event form fields, and member-level control for new event email notifications. I’ve built and maintained WordPress/BuddyPress sites with custom front-end behavior, form fixes, CSS-based display changes, and notification workflows. My approach would be to trace the mobile venue issue in the event creation flow, review the ticket/RSVP timing logic that hides the button, then adjust the Additional CSS and the event form so RSVP sale dates behave correctly without exposing the 12am default. I’d also hide the unnecessary event fields and implement a simple opt-in/opt-out notification setting for members, using a plugin only if it’s the safest fit. I can work carefully and test on mobile Chrome and desktop before wrapping up. Best regards, Osama

I’ve debugged BuddyPress event forms and notification toggles on mobile before—venue dropdown sticky issues in mobile Chrome are common when DOM order shifts; RSVP visibility disappearing at midnight usually means a server-side timestamp misalignment. My approach: override the mobile Chrome form behavior with targeted CSS, re-enable manual RSVP time controls while hiding the default 12 AM start, then validate with test events across devices. For notifications, I’ll audit existing plugins—BuddyPress Notifications Toggle or similar—and extend member profile fields to expose the switch. I can start immediately.

Hello, I can help resolve the BuddyPress and event management issues by debugging the mobile venue dropdown behavior, fixing the RSVP button timing problem, simplifying the event creation form, and implementing member-controlled event notification preferences. I will review the existing customizations first to avoid conflicts and ensure the fixes work properly on both mobile and desktop while preserving current functionality. I have few questions to clarify: 1 which event plugin is being used alongside BuddyPress for event creation and RSVPs? 2 do you have a staging site available for testing before applying changes to the live website? 3 has the frontend event form been customized through theme files, plugins, or custom code snippets? I’d be happy to discuss this further to ensure it meets your exact needs. Best Regards Fahad

Having worked with BuddyPress extensively, I am confident in my ability to tackle the issues you've encountered on both mobile and PC. My understanding of CSS and frontend development will allow me to address the venue dropdown list issue on mobile Chrome, ensuring that it consistently functions regardless of the order in which data is inputted. Additionally, I will make necessary adjustments to the RSVP button so it no longer disappears before events begin, avoiding any inconvenience for your users. When it comes to notifications, your request to allow members to turn on/off event emails aligns perfectly with my proficiency in WordPress. I can efficiently install any necessary plugins and code the desired functionality for your BuddyPress platform. My past experience has shown that this specific feature significantly enhances user experience by giving individuals autonomy over their email communications. In terms of delivery, I take pride in my time management skills that ensure prompt project completion without compromising quality. You can rely on me to fix both the apparent and underlying issues highlighted in your project description, making sure your site operates flawlessly. I look forward to discussing more about your project and putting my expertise to work for you on this BuddyPress event enhancement endeavor!

Hello, I can help you fix these BuddyPress event issues and clean up the event creation flow without disrupting your existing setup. I will start by isolating the mobile Chrome venue dropdown issue and adjust the event form logic so field order no longer affects functionality. This will likely involve correcting frontend JS handling and form rendering sequence so the venue selector behaves consistently regardless of input order. For the RSVP problem, I will restore proper start and end time handling for ticket availability so the RSVP button no longer disappears at midnight. I will adjust your current “Additional CSS” and any related frontend logic so only the date and controlled end time are used, while ensuring the RSVP visibility remains stable across both mobile and desktop. I will also clean up the event creation UI by hiding unnecessary fields such as recurring events, event categories (as requested), and event status for new submissions, while keeping delete controls available where appropriate. This will simplify the workflow for members without affecting backend functionality. For notifications, I will implement a proper member-level toggle system so users can enable or disable event email notifications. If needed, I will integrate a lightweight plugin or custom BuddyPress extension to give full control without breaking existing notification flows. Best Regards Mahad Sheikh

Hi, I understand where the heart of this project is: these are mobile-Chrome-specific bugs tied to form field order and RSVP timing, so the fix is about diagnosing the real cause, not just patching symptoms. The venue dropdown sticking when title/description are entered first, and the RSVP button vanishing at midnight, both point to how the ticket/RSVP start-end times are being set, so I'll trace those precisely before changing anything, and confirm each fix on mobile Chrome where the problems actually appear. Here's how I'll handle your list: investigate and fix the venue dropdown sticking issue on mobile; correct the RSVP button disappearing by restoring manual RSVP start/end time control while hiding the default 12am start, via Additional CSS and the form logic, so it only takes a ticket-sale end date/time and the button stays visible; and hide the fields you specified (Recurring Events, Event Categories, Event Status, and the duplicate Tickets/RSVP/Description). For notifications, I'll enable members to turn new-event emails on and off themselves, installing a suitable plugin if needed. I understand you'll need the second day to observe the RSVP button behaviour after the fix, which makes sense, so I'll plan for that confirmation window rather than rushing the handover. One quick question: can you give me access to a staging copy or admin login so I can test the mobile fixes safely without affecting the live event forms? Happy to start. Mickey

Hi, I've worked with BuddyPress, event-management plugins, frontend form customizations, and notification workflows, so this is the type of troubleshooting task I can jump into quickly. The first priority would be identifying whether the mobile Chrome venue-dropdown issue is caused by the previous customizations or by JavaScript conflicts within the event form. I'd then address the RSVP timing logic so the button remains available until the event actually begins, while simplifying the ticket/RSVP date fields as requested. I can also clean up the event creation interface by hiding the unnecessary fields and implement a member-level notification preference so users can enable or disable new-event emails themselves. The two-day timeline is reasonable, especially since the RSVP fix needs to be observed after implementation to confirm it behaves correctly around event dates. To get started, I'll need WordPress admin access and, if available, details of the event plugin currently handling RSVPs and ticketing. Best Regard, Chand
