ROMAFLEUR — SHOPIFY WEBSITE BRIEF I’m looking for a **creative Shopify designer/developer** to build a high-end e-commerce website for **ROMAFLEUR**, a Los Angeles floral studio. PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING **Do not send an offer/proposal unless you have reviewed this full description and the reference website.** I am specifically looking for someone with a **strong creative eye, excellent typography/layout skills, and experience creating elevated fashion, luxury, editorial, or lifestyle websites.** Please include relevant portfolio examples that demonstrate your design capabilities. REFERENCE [J'Adore Les Fleurs]([login to view URL]) **I do not want to copy their design.** ROMAFLEUR should reinterpret this level of luxury through a younger, more fashion-forward identity. CREATIVE DIRECTION: MIU MIU × VOGUE EDITORIAL × PRADA × LOS ANGELES FLORAL STUDIO** Think **fashion house first, florist second.** The site should feel minimal, editorial, feminine, expensive, youthful, artistic, and highly curated. Visual direction: * Oversized campaign photography * Soft black typography * Editorial serif + modern sans serif * Generous negative space * Fashion-magazine-inspired/asymmetrical layouts * Full-screen imagery/video * Subtle, sophisticated animation and hover effects **NO** generic Shopify florist aesthetic, bridal look, excessive pink, clutter, or Etsy-style design. WEBSITE Homepage:** Full-screen campaign hero, Shop by Collection, Best Sellers, editorial campaign moments, Events, and a **ROMAFLEUR ×** collaborations section. **Shop:** Collections such as Signature, Roses, Bouquets, Grand Gestures, Seasonal and Shop All. **Product Pages:** Large photography, product details, size/stem options, delivery/pickup, date selection, gift message and Add to Bag. **Events:** Editorial page for private events, brand activations, launches, dinners, corporate gifting, editorial shoots and floral installations with an inquiry form. **Our World:** A more editorial alternative to a traditional About page featuring the ROMAFLEUR story, Los Angeles identity, campaigns, collaborations and imagery. ### DELIVERY + SHOPIFY FUNCTIONALITY Customers must be able to select **Local Delivery or Studio Pickup**, choose an available date, and enter gift/delivery information. Backend should allow us to manage delivery ZIP codes, fees, available dates, blackout dates, order cutoffs and pickup availability. Shopify must remain easy for me to manage independently, including products, pricing, collections, imagery/video, homepage content and seasonal launches. ### MOBILE **Mobile is extremely important.** Most customers will discover ROMAFLEUR through Instagram/TikTok. The mobile experience needs to feel intentionally designed and just as editorial as desktop—not simply a compressed version. ### END GOAL I want ROMAFLEUR to feel like **a floral studio presented with the creative direction of a fashion house.** The finished website should feel **established, desirable, premium and visually memorable while remaining extremely easy to shop.**

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I understand you're looking to create a luxury Shopify website for ROMAFLEUR, which involves both design and development aspects that reflect your brand's elegance and uniqueness. What usually matters most here is ensuring that the website not only looks appealing but also functions seamlessly. A common issue in projects like this is managing the integration of various Shopify features while maintaining speed and reliability. The tricky part is usually ensuring that the site can scale effectively as your product range expands. My approach would focus on structuring the site with a solid backend for easy updates and integrations, while prioritizing user experience in the design. I’ve worked on several e-commerce platforms, ensuring they are both visually stunning and technically sound, which helps prevent issues down the line. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific features do you envision for the user roles and permissions on the site? Q2 – Are there particular payment gateways or plugins you want to integrate? Q3 – How do you plan to handle product management and inventory updates? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

The challenge here is not just setting up a florist store in Shopify, it’s making it feel like a fashion brand without losing ease of shopping. That usually falls apart when the visual direction is strong but the product flow, delivery logic, and mobile layout feel generic, so I’d approach this by designing the key sections around campaign imagery first and then structuring the store so checkout-related details stay simple and intuitive. I’ve worked on Shopify builds where the brand needed to feel elevated rather than “theme-based,” especially for visual businesses selling high-emotion products. Your brief around typography, negative space, editorial layouts, and a younger luxury tone is the kind of direction that needs careful restraint, not just more design elements, and that’s where a lot of stores either become cluttered or lose conversion clarity. I can also make sure the backend stays easy to manage for seasonal launches, collection updates, and product imagery swaps. For the delivery/pickup setup, are you already using any preferred Shopify app for date and ZIP handling, or would you like that chosen and structured as part of the build? Also, will ROMAFLEUR launch with professional campaign visuals ready, or should the layout be planned to remain strong while content is added in phases?

Hello, ✍️ I read your full brief, and the direction is very clear: ROMAFLEUR needs to feel like a fashion house first, florist second—minimal, editorial, feminine, youthful, and premium without falling into a generic Shopify florist aesthetic. The balance between high-impact campaign visuals and an easy-to-shop experience is exactly what will make this site memorable. We’re a Shopify-focused team with 8+ years of experience, Top Rated on Freelancer, and a 100% project completion record. We understand that this project is as much about typography, layout, mobile storytelling, and restraint as it is about Shopify functionality. For ROMAFLEUR, we’d focus on building a custom, fashion-forward Shopify experience with oversized imagery, refined serif/sans typography pairing, intentional negative space, subtle motion, and a mobile-first layout that still feels editorial. We’d also make sure the backend stays easy to manage for products, seasonal launches, delivery ZIP codes, fees, blackout dates, order cutoffs, and studio pickup. Two quick questions: 1. Do you already have brand assets ready—logo, typography direction, campaign photography/video—or should we help shape that visual system? 2. For delivery/date selection, do you want a custom Shopify setup or are you open to using a carefully chosen app if it keeps management simpler? Happy to explore this together — feel free to message me! Please let me know your thoughts. Looking forward, Roman

ROMAFLEUR needs to feel curated and expensive on first scroll, especially on mobile where most of your audience will meet the brand. The real risk with a brief like this is ending up with a standard florist shop wearing luxury styling on top, so I’d build the experience around strong art direction, clean product hierarchy, and subtle motion that supports the brand instead of distracting from it. I’ve handled Shopify sites where the design standard was closer to fashion, editorial, and lifestyle than traditional ecommerce, and that experience matters here because spacing, typography, image pacing, and page rhythm do most of the heavy lifting. The functional side you listed—delivery or pickup selection, date choice, ZIP and fee control, blackout dates, and an easy backend—can all be mapped in a way that still keeps the storefront polished. I’d also make sure the homepage, events page, and “Our World” page each have their own identity instead of feeling like repeated content blocks. Are you planning to sell mainly a fixed set of bouquet products, or will arrangements rotate often by season? And for the collaborations section, should that be more editorial storytelling or something that can later expand into shoppable drops?

Hi, I reviewed the brief for a ROMAFLEUR luxury florist Shopify website inspired by Miu Miu × Vogue editorial × Prada energy, with minimal, feminine, expensive typography and curated asymmetrical layouts. I’ll build the homepage with full-screen campaign hero, Shop by Collection, Best Sellers, editorial campaign moments, Events, and a ROMAFLEUR × collaborations section, then create Collection, product, Events, and Our World pages with large photography and clean hierarchy. Using Shopify, Web Design, Branding, and Shopify-focused merchandising, I’ll implement Local Delivery vs Studio Pickup, delivery ZIP/fees, available dates, blackout dates, pickup availability, and gift message flows while keeping the admin easy for you to manage. I’ll ensure mobile is intentionally designed with smooth hover/animation. Let’s discuss here now.

ROMAFLEUR should sell like Shopify but read like a fashion campaign—not a florist template. The J’Adore reference has strong luxury cues, but your younger Miu Miu × Vogue direction needs sharper typography, asymmetry, and a mobile-first visual rhythm. I’d first define the homepage and mobile product-page direction, then build reusable Shopify sections so campaigns, collections, video, and seasonal launches stay easy to update. Product pages would connect size options, delivery or pickup, ZIP-based fees, date cutoffs, blackout dates, and gift details without making checkout feel heavy. I’d also protect mobile speed by controlling image/video loading. You can review my Shopify client work at https://ceevo.co. Do you already have the campaign photography and brand typefaces, or should the first step include defining that visual system?

Hi, You want ROMAFLEUR to feel like a fashion house first and a florist second , that hidden shift in perception is exactly what I’d design for. I’ve built Shopify stores that balance luxury storytelling with clean commerce, and I can shape your site around editorial typography, oversized imagery, subtle motion, and an easy-to-manage backend. I’ll structure the homepage, collection flow, product pages, events inquiry page, and your delivery/pickup logic so the brand feels premium without becoming hard to update. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. Could you share whether you want delivery date rules handled natively in Shopify or through an app, and do you already have photography/video assets ready for the editorial sections? I’d also like to know if the events inquiry form should route to email only or connect to a CRM/workflow. Looking forward to your reply so we can finalize the exact plan. Best regards, Asad

Hey there, ROMAFLEUR should feel like a fashion editorial that happens to sell flowers, not a Shopify florist template with luxury styling added afterward. I’d let the photography, typography, whitespace, and asymmetric composition drive the experience while keeping the shopping journey simple underneath. The delivery and pickup logic also needs to be planned early. ZIP availability, fees, cutoffs, blackout dates, pickup, and date selection should feel almost invisible to customers while remaining easy for your team to manage in Shopify. I would also treat mobile as its own composition rather than simply collapsing the desktop layout. Do you already have the photography and video library ready for the initial launch, or should the build account for sourcing/optimizing those assets? Hello, I built a luxury e-commerce site for a fashion boutique that needed editorial layouts, oversized imagery, and subtle animations—similar to what you’re describing. The challenge was balancing high-end aesthetics with Shopify’s constraints while keeping the backend manageable for the client. Your brief makes it clear: ROMAFLEUR isn’t a typical florist site. It’s a fashion-forward brand where photography, typography, and spacing set the tone. The mobile experience must feel deliberate, not just responsive. I’d approach this by using Shopify’s sections for dynamic editorial layouts, custom CSS for typography and spacing, and minimal JS for the subtle effects you want. The backend needs a straightforward delivery/pickup system with date restrictions—something I’ve set up before with custom metafields and apps like Zapiet. The biggest risk is overcomplicating the design with animations that slow down the site or confuse the shopping flow. I’d keep interactions clean and test performance early. Let's discuss the project in more detail via chat. Thanks, Lazar.

Hi - Truong here>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> “LUXURY FASHION-HOUSE SHOPIFY STORE” — you need ROMAFLEUR to feel like an editorial fashion brand, not a typical florist website. I’d build the Shopify theme around strong typography, oversized imagery, generous spacing, subtle motion, and a mobile-first layout that keeps the luxury feel while making shopping fast. I’d also structure delivery/pickup, date selection, blackout dates, fees and cutoffs so you can manage them without developer help. The important part is keeping the visual direction consistent across Home, Collections, Product, Events and Our World while making seasonal content easy to update in Shopify. What delivery-date rules should control availability: ZIP code, product type, cutoff time, or a combination? Looking forward to work with you.
