Aptamer Development Consulting Expertise Wanted (China Focussed)

# Scientific Consultant Needed – China Biotech Network (Aptamers / Diagnostics) We are looking for a scientific consultant or business development professional based in **China** with strong connections to universities, CROs, and biotech companies working in molecular diagnostics and aptamer technologies. Our client is developing an **interstitial fluid (ISF)-based diagnostic** for a fungal dermatology application and is seeking the right research partner in China. ### Responsibilities * Identify suitable CROs, university laboratories, or research groups with expertise in: * Aptamer discovery (SELEX) * Aptamer characterization (SPR, BLI, MST, ELONA) * Biosensors * Lateral flow assays * Gold nanoparticle (AuNP) colorimetric assays * Make introductions to relevant scientists or business development contacts. * Assist with initial communication if required. * Advise on the strongest organizations for this type of project. ### Preferred Qualifications * Located in China. * Existing network within Chinese universities, CROs, or biotechnology companies. * Background in biotechnology, molecular biology, diagnostics, or life sciences. * Experience with aptamers, biosensors, IVD, or point-of-care diagnostics is highly desirable. * Fluent in both English and Mandarin. ### Deliverables * A shortlist of suitable organizations and key contacts. * Warm introductions where possible. * Brief recommendations on the most suitable partners. Please include in your proposal: * Your scientific or biotechnology background. * Your experience working with Chinese research institutes or CROs. * Examples of similar projects or introductions you've facilitated. * The provinces or cities where your network is strongest (e.g. Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou). This is initially a short-term engagement with the potential for ongoing work if the collaboration is successful. My goal is to lock in a consultant who can deliver a concise written strategy and be available for two or three follow-up calls as we refine the plan.
