The role goes well beyond lead generation: I expect you to open doors, negotiate terms, and close deals that convert into repeat business. You should already know the business culture and regulatory landscape in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania, and feel comfortable travelling or working remotely with distributors, EPC contractors, and end-users in mining, energy, and manufacturing. A background that blends industrial sales expertise with hands-on experience in African markets and international trade compliance is essential, as you will be handling INCOTERMS, export documentation, and payment instruments while maintaining healthy gross margins. Key milestones will include: • A market entry plan for each target country, outlining segment priorities and projected volumes. • A vetted contact list of at least 30 qualified prospects within the first month. • The first purchase order secured within 60 days, followed by a monthly pipeline report and revenue forecast. I will provide product specs, marketing collateral, and pricing structures; you bring the network, negotiation skills, and on-the-ground insight to turn interest into signed orders.
