A church sound system has to work for two audiences at once. The people in the room and the people watching online. Most setups that fail do so because the livestream mix is an afterthought. The real challenge is isolation. Your podium microphone needs to pick up the speaker clearly without picking up the room. Your speakers need to cover the congregation without bleeding into the podium mic and creating feedback. Your livestream needs a clean feed that does not include the room echo. Each of those pieces has to work independently and together. I would design a system that solves all three. A podium microphone with a tight cardioid pattern to reject ambient noise and minimize feedback. A digital mixer that can create a separate mix for the livestream so online viewers hear a clean signal, not a muddy room capture. A simple audio interface to route the livestream feed to your broadcasting computer. Do you already have any existing equipment, like a mixer or speakers, that you want to keep, or are we starting from scratch? Also, what is the approximate seating capacity of the sanctuary?
