My on-premise accounting application now needs to live on Microsoft Azure. The database will stay where it is for the moment, so the immediate focus is lifting the application layer, cloud-ready refactoring if required, and wiring everything up so users experience the same—or better—reliability as today. What I need you to handle end-to-end: • Detailed migration plan that maps current application components to Azure services such as App Service, Azure Functions, or containers—whichever best sustains reliability. • Execution of the move with minimal downtime, including configuration of staging slots and rollback strategy. • Post-deployment hardening: regular security audits scheduled through Azure Security Center (encryption at rest or MFA can remain optional for now, but leave hooks so we can switch them on fast). • Backup and disaster-recovery setup via Azure Backup / Recovery Services Vault, plus scripted restoration test. • Performance and reliability monitoring dashboards in Azure Monitor and Application Insights. • Knowledge-transfer session and 30 days of post-migration support to squash any teething issues. Acceptance criteria will be a fully functional application reachable through Azure, automated backup job reports, a passed baseline security audit, and a clean hand-off document.

Hi there, Your project is a classic Azure lift-and-shift with a twist: database stays on-prem, app goes to Azure, and users shouldn't notice. I've done this exact move before, and I'll make sure we have staging slots, rollback, and a tested backup before anything cuts over. What I'll do: ✅ Build a detailed migration plan mapping your app components to App Service, Functions, or containers—whichever gives you the best reliability—and set up staging slots with a rollback strategy. ✅ Execute the move with minimal downtime, then configure Azure Backup / Recovery Services Vault with a scripted restoration test. ✅ Set up Azure Monitor + Application Insights dashboards, run a baseline Azure Security Center audit with hooks for encryption/MFA, and finish with a clean hand-off doc and knowledge-transfer session. Skills: ✅ Azure App Service, Functions, containers ✅ Windows Server / IIS migration to Azure ✅ Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vault, DR testing ✅ PowerShell scripting for automation and rollback ✅ Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Security Center ✅ Microsoft® Certified: MCSA | MCSE | MCT ✅ 300+ projects delivered, 280+ five-star reviews Why me: fast responses, unlimited revisions until you're satisfied, and I'm around 24/7 during the 30-day post-migration support window. Quick question: is the app currently on IIS with a specific app pool/.NET version? That'll let me confirm App Service compatibility before we lock the plan.

Bid Rate: $35 USD/hour (The posted $15–25/hour is below market for an end-to-end Azure migration with architecture, security, DR, and post-go-live support.) Estimated Timeline: 2–3 weeks I've handled several on-prem to Azure migrations where the priority was minimal downtime, zero data loss, and a smooth user experience. I'll first assess your application to determine whether Azure App Service, Containers, or Azure Functions best fit the architecture while keeping your on-prem database connected securely. The migration will include deployment slots, rollback planning, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, Azure Backup & Recovery Services Vault, baseline security hardening with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and documented DR testing. I'll also provide a detailed handover, knowledge transfer session, and 30 days of post-go-live support. Before migrating, I'd like to review your current application stack and hosting environment to recommend the most reliable Azure architecture rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all solution.

Deeply compassionate to the realities of business continuity, this migration will be handled as a low-drama, reliability-first transition. I’ll deliver an end-to-end Azure lift-and-prepare plan that maps your current application components to the most dependable Azure hosting model (App Service, Functions, or containers as appropriate). Since your database remains on-prem for now, the wiring will be designed to preserve current behavior while reducing latency risk and avoiding brittle coupling. Execution approach: a staged deployment using Azure deployment slots for safe cutover, plus a clear rollback path if any regression appears. Minimal downtime is built into the cutover sequence. Security hardening: baseline security audits through Azure monitoring/security tooling, with encryption-at-rest and MFA treated as toggleable “hooks” so enabling can be fast when you’re ready. Resilience: implement Azure Backup/Recovery Services Vault with automated backup reports, and run scripted restore testing to verify recovery readiness. Observability: set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights dashboards to track performance, errors, and availability, so issues surface early. Finally, a knowledge-transfer session and 30 days of post-migration support will culminate in clean hand-off documentation covering architecture, runbooks, and operations steps.

Keeping the DB on-prem while lifting the app to Azure is the right call, but the link between them is where this migration usually stumbles. I'll benchmark latency from App Service to your on-prem DB first, then pick between App Service with VNet integration or a container in ACA based on what the app tolerates. Plan, staged cutover with slot swap and rollback, plus Azure Monitor and Recovery Vault wired in with a scripted restore test before hand-off. 1) Is the on-prem DB reachable via ExpressRoute, S2S VPN, or public with firewall rules? I’ve migrated on-prem .NET accounting apps to Azure App Service with SQL Server remaining on-prem before—this is routine. I’ll map the app’s IIS dependencies to App Service, containerize if needed, and deploy via ARM templates with blue-green staging slots and a rollback in under 10 minutes. Azure Monitor and Application Insights will track latency, failures, and memory leaks; dashboards get pinned to the ops team’s portal. Backup vaults get configured with daily SQL dumps, weekly VM snapshots, and quarterly restoration drills. Security Center baseline runs monthly, MFA hooks left in IAM for future enablement. Hand-off includes a runbook and 30 days of war-room support. Thanks, Andrii

hello, The one part of this build that carries real risk is the Google Calendar sync, since everything else is standard site work but a booking flow that double-books or shows stale availability erodes trust fast. So the piece I would nail first is a booking plugin with genuine two-way Google Calendar sync, meaning a slot booked on the site blocks instantly on your team’s calendar and the other way round, in real time, no overlaps. For a site you edit yourself afterward, WordPress with Elementor fits well, giving you drag-and-drop control over text and images once we go live, with the booking module styled to match the site rather than looking like a bolted-on widget. I would keep the plugin set lean so the page stays fast, since booking pages that load slowly lose people right at the moment they were ready to commit. The service pages, FAQ, and on-page SEO I would set up ready for your copy, so publishing is quick once your content drops in. Does each team member need their own separate calendar and availability, or is it one shared booking calendar? And are appointments in person, so location matters, or online, where the booking just needs to hand over a meeting link? have a nice day.

Hi, I have 10+ years as a DevOps engineer specializing in Azure migrations, app modernization, and reliable cloud operations. Your on-prem accounting app needs a smooth lift to Azure while the database stays put—I’ll handle the full end-to-end move so users see equal or better reliability. My approach will be: 1. Map components to the right Azure services (App Service, Functions, or containers) and produce a detailed migration plan. 2. Execute the cutover with staging slots, minimal downtime, and a clear rollback strategy. 3. Harden post-deployment via Azure Security Center (hooks ready for encryption/MFA). 4. Configure Azure Backup / Recovery Services Vault plus a tested restore script. 5. Build monitoring dashboards in Azure Monitor and Application Insights. 6. Deliver knowledge-transfer and 30 days of post-migration support. Deliverables: fully functional Azure-hosted app, automated backup reports, passed baseline security audit, and clean hand-off documentation. Quick questions: 1. On-premise to Azure with the database staying put means the app tier needs solid connectivity back to that SQL Server, likely a VPN or ExpressRoute with tight firewall rules. I would lift the app onto an Azure VM, script the deployment, and run a security audit before cutover. The price and timeline here are early estimates from the post, we will firm them up once I see the current setup. Can start today, want me to send a quick scope doc?
