Autodesk Revit HVAC BIM Modeler (Intermediate–Expert) Project Overview We are looking for an experienced Autodesk Revit HVAC BIM Modeler to develop a Mechanical (HVAC) model for a commercial building following ISO 19650 BIM standards. The project involves creating a complete HVAC model from linked Architectural and Structural Revit models and CAD drawings. The ideal freelancer should have extensive experience in HVAC BIM workflows, Revit MEP, worksharing, shared coordinates, and production-level modeling. Scope of Work Phase 1 – Project Setup The freelancer shall: Create a Mechanical Revit project using the supplied template. Enable Worksharing. Create all required worksets. Configure project settings. Set up HVAC system types. Configure duct systems. Configure duct types. Configure routing preferences. Configure system graphics. Configure abbreviations. Phase 2 – BIM Coordination The freelancer shall: Link Architectural model. Link Structural model. Acquire Shared Coordinates. Verify Project Base Point. Verify Survey Point. Pin linked models. Copy/Monitor Levels. Copy/Monitor Grids. Create missing Levels. Create required floor plan views. Phase 3 – View Management Create: Scope Boxes Browser Organization View Type Project Parameter View Filters Duplicate Views Mechanical Working Views Ducting Views Export Views Phase 4 – CAD Coordination Link all HVAC CAD drawings using Current View Only Shared Coordinates Ensure perfect alignment with: Floor Plans Reflected Ceiling Plans Equipment Layouts Phase 5 – Mechanical Equipment Load and place all supplied Revit families including: AHU FCU Mechanical Equipment Accessories Ensure: Correct Levels Correct Elevations Proper Orientation Proper Equipment Pads Phase 6 – Air Terminal Placement Place: Supply Diffusers Return Grilles Exhaust Grilles Requirements Follow CAD Layout Correct Ceiling Height Correct Airflow Direction Proper Family Orientation Phase 7 – HVAC Duct Modeling Develop complete ductwork including: Supply Air Return Air Fresh Air Exhaust Air Include Main ducts Branch ducts Flexible connections Vertical Risers Elbows Transitions Reducers Tees End Caps Maintain Correct elevations Correct sizing Correct routing Proper connectivity Phase 8 – HVAC Accessories Insert Volume Control Dampers Fire Dampers Balancing Dampers Duct Accessories As per: CAD drawings Sectional details Fire-rated wall penetrations Phase 9 – System Verification Perform System Connectivity Check Resolve Disconnect Warnings Clash Review Model QA/QC Verify Duct Systems Verify Air Terminal Connections Verify AHU Connections Phase 10 – Navisworks Export Preparation Create Export Views One view for: HVAC Ductwork Mechanical Equipment HVAC Piping Configure Workset Filters Visibility Graphics Shaded View Hide Revit Links Ready for Navisworks Export Deliverables The freelancer shall submit: Fully developed Revit HVAC Model (.RVT) Clean Project Browser Proper View Organization HVAC Systems configured Connected HVAC model Export Views Clash-free model Navisworks-ready model Must have: Autodesk Revit MEP 2024 BIM Coordination Shared Coordinates Worksharing Revit Families Duct Systems Air Terminal Placement Mechanical Equipment Modeling Navisworks Export ISO 19650 Standards Understanding of LOD 300–350 workflows Preferred Experience Minimum 5 years of Revit MEP experience. Experience on commercial high-rise buildings. Experience with HVAC coordination. Experience working from AutoCAD backgrounds. Experience preparing models for Navisworks coordination. Familiarity with Dynamo and pyRevit is an advantage. Freelancer Selection Criteria Applicants should provide: Portfolio of Revit HVAC projects. Sample .RVT files or screenshots. Years of Revit MEP experience. Software version should be in Revit 2024 Expected delivery timeline. Fixed-price quotation. Availability for revisions.
