Uploading to ACX is quick. Getting past their audio review is where these stall, so that is what I would check first. ACX rejects on technical spec rather than on content, and an already-edited book often still fails. The bar: each file between minus 23 and minus 18 dB RMS, peaks no higher than minus 3 dB, a noise floor under minus 60 dB, half a second to a second of room tone at the head and tail of every file, under 120 minutes per file, and 192 kbps constant bitrate MP3 at 44.1 kHz mono or stereo throughout. You also need opening and closing credits as their own files and a retail sample. Noise floor and RMS are what usually catch people. A book that sounds perfect on headphones can sit at minus 52 dB and come straight back. So before uploading anything I would measure your files against that list and tell you whether they pass. If they do, I upload, set the metadata and submit. If one or two fail, you will know exactly which and by how much, rather than losing days to a rejection with a vague reason.
