For an existing production system, I’d first understand the current issue and inspect it without changing anything blindly — Asterisk logs/CLI, registrations, routes/trunks and SIP traces with sngrep or Wireshark where necessary. For backups, I’d also make sure restore is actually understood/testable rather than just showing you where the backup button is. I’ve worked hands-on with Asterisk and VoIP systems, although I won’t claim years as a dedicated FreePBX consultant.
