I need a web-based([url removed, login to view]) application that will allow a user to perform actions in Microsoft Word,
Excel, or Powerpoint.
Specifically, the user will connect to a website, the application will present itself in a web-based page
with buttons for Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. The user will select one of the buttons and the application
will download and open a (Word,Excel or Powerpoint) file from the database and embedd it in the application contained within the webpage..
The user should have the ability to use the embedded applications (Word,Excel, or Powerpoint) toolbars.
They should be able to open documents, worksheets, or presentations and perform operations as if they were using the application(Word, Excel or Powerpoint). The respective toolbar
should integrate with the Internet Explorer toolbar.
Once completed, the application should access the file edited by the user and determine if a picture
was embedded in the file (Word), if a formula was entered in the spreadsheet (Excel) or the number of slides
in the Powerpoint application.
The application should then connect to a remote database and update a database table (MSSQL, MSSQL, Access) with the information obtained from the Excel, Word or Powerpoint file.
The application should exit and return to the Internet Explorer homepage.
