Title of the book - In the shadows of a multi-billion dollar industry: Real money trade in online video games and its global economic importance
I started out in this industry as the average gamer does. I wasn't particularly good at anything, didn't clear content as fast as some others,
didn't capitalize as much as some others and couldn't beat endgame content or bosses as well as some others.
I did however pay attention to those that did well and observed the effects they had in the economy.
Since then, just over 3 years ago, I have managed to generate over US$500,000 in sales by acquiring items in 1 game and selling them to other players.
I don't work long and stressful hours. To the contrary, I have fun when I'm working in this field. Over the last couple of years, I average only but a couple hours a day having to make investments, obtain stock or handle the daily affairs to maintain an average of US$150,000+ per year in sales.
There are major misconceptions in western society about this field. Most reports dictate the only real ways to make money as a gamer are to stream, get involved in Esports or become a game tester. That being a farmer pays next to nothing and that going against a terms of service is somehow an illegal act.
I am proof this is not the case. I have proof and experience that says otherwise.
The only real requirements to do what I am doing is to have basic math skills, a few hours a day to play/learn a game where these opportunities exist and a little patience.
The most profitable way to make money in this field is to be a broker. I make on average 150,000$/year, in 1 not-so popular game on the PS4, with less effort than most people put into making their families dinner.
I am just a flake of snow on the tip of an iceberg in this industry. While my story may be exceptional, I assure you, I am just a blade of grass in a field when it comes to generating vast sums of money buying/selling/trading items in video games. I cannot stress this enough, there is a gold rush happening under everyone's nose and they cant seem to accept these facts because of the misinformation they are being exposed to.
The experience, data and knowledge I possess is something that needs to be shared with many others. This needs to be written in a book.
