I do a lot of writing for a legitimate SEO business who uses the motto 'Content is King' in as much as there is no pont in driving traffic to your website with keyword stuffed text that then puts people off buying a product or using a service as a result. At between 1-2% you have it spot on and I am used to using Flesch-Kincaid to assess writing style. It sounds like you need relatively short sentences and not too many long words. Effective and informative copy written for the reader 'you' rather than about the business'us'. I would be delighted to help if I can, my only problem at present is my current workload.
