Digital Marketing Content Writers

Toronto-based digital marketing consultancy is seeing Freelance Digital Marketing Content Writers to write engaging original content on a variety of digital marketing topics (i.e SEO, Google Analytics, Social Media, Paid Search, etc.) as well as best practices and digital marketing trends. Leveraging a familiarity and understanding of the topics, you will conduct research on topics and develop content for audiences ranging from C-Suite to day-to-day marketers that will cover the topics in both a technical as well as conversational manner supported by data.
Engagement Parameters:
1. Collaborate with the internal team on the identification of digital marketing topics
2. Subject matter and content should represent current and trending topics in the area of digital marketing but aligned with firms core business areas
3. Proofread and edit content for errors and inconsistencies to improve readability
4. Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
5. Submit work for input and approval
Requirements:
A digital marketing background is required
A good grasp of marketing and industry trends, including those of key interests to enterprise marketers
Comfortable writing about various digital marketing and data tools and technologies
Able to interview experts in marketing, and present that information in a way that is concise, and easy to understand
Ability to write on technical topics targeted at the marketing industry insiders
Good English writing and communication skills.
Self-starter - ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
Knowledge of keyword research and SEO best practices is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
University degree or college diploma preferably in journalism, public relations, English, or marketing.
2+ years experience in a related field in writing, communications, or content capacity (agency or other professional experience)
