My experience has taken me through myriad jobs in my lifetime, but proficient writing skills has always been a center point of success for me. I am a stickler for grammar, punctuation, accuracy, clarity and economy of words. And while I have an extremely technical mind, I have a knack for explaining highly technical concepts, making them easily understood by the layperson. Oh, and I use politically correct words like "layperson".
I have recently started writing full time, and this is something I have always wanted to do. It has always been the most exciting part of every job I have ever had, and I have always been the go-to person for proof-reading, editing and finding that "just right" way to make an abstract concept into an understandable and attainable plan of action.
I have written everything from technical manuals to comedy routines, and have created, written and edited myriad websites and articles. I have even done editing work for accountants and legal professionals.
Extensive research is very important to good writing, and I spend almost half of my time researching to ensure that the information I am conveying is thoughtful and accurate.
I write quickly, but more importantly, I write well. And I always use spell check.
