I am building a small system that will ride on a vehicle and needs smart power and signal management. Two of the three loads are a Camera and a Transmitter; the third is still open for discussion once the basic framework is proven. An Arduino-class board running Python (CircuitPython or MicroPython is fine) will sit at the center of the design. Core behaviour • A proximity sensor with a simple NO/NC or other switched-DC output tells the microcontroller when the vehicle is near its target. On that event the code must turn the devices on or off, make or break the live analog video path, and if required trigger visual or audible alerts. • A vibration/accelerometer module tracks motion. When the vehicle has been still for a preset timeout the controller should cut power to all three devices, blink a “sleep” pattern on an LED, and enter a deep-sleep state to save the battery. Once vibration resumes the system must wake cleanly and restore previous operating conditions. • Battery voltage comes from a 12 V source. The program should sample it through a divider, map the reading to three voltage bands, and blink an LED (slow/medium/fast) so the operator can judge remaining capacity at a glance. What I will need from you 1. Well-commented Python firmware ready to flash on an Arduino-compatible board (ESP32, RP2040, etc.). 2. A concise wiring diagram showing relays/MOSFETs or other interfaces for the Two Cameras, Transmitter, plus the voltage divider, proximity sensor and accelerometer. 3. Guidance on any external libraries or versions required. 4. A short test plan or demo script that proves: – proximity input reliably switches power and video, – battery voltage bands drive the LED patterns, – inactivity triggers sleep and movement wakes the system. I can share a fuller spec sheet, pin map and desired timing values as soon as we start. If you are comfortable with Python on microcontrollers, analog video switching and low-power design, I look forward to working with you. I am not an electronics designer myself, but can get answers from other employees here.

Hi, As per my understanding: You need a Python-based embedded control system for an Arduino-compatible board that manages power, analog video switching, battery monitoring, motion-based sleep/wake functionality, and proximity-triggered device control for a vehicle-mounted setup. Along with firmware, you need a wiring diagram, hardware interface recommendations, and a validation test plan. Implementation approach: I will design a modular MicroPython/CircuitPython firmware architecture that monitors proximity, vibration, and battery inputs while controlling cameras, transmitter, and future expansion devices through MOSFETs or relays. The system will preserve state, manage analog video routing, trigger LED/alert patterns, classify battery voltage into defined bands, and enter deep sleep after inactivity to maximize battery life. I will also provide a clear wiring diagram covering power regulation, voltage divider, accelerometer, proximity sensor, video switching, and load control circuits, along with required libraries and deployment guidance. A few quick questions: 1. Which controller do you prefer: ESP32, RP2040, or another board? 2. What are the voltage/current requirements of the cameras and transmitter? 3. Should analog video switching be automatic or manually configurable? 4. Which accelerometer/vibration sensor model will be used? 5. Do you already have preferred sleep timeout and battery-threshold values?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've carefully reviewed your requirements, and this looks like a great fit for my background in embedded systems, microcontroller firmware, and low-power electronics integration. The project is essentially a smart power-management controller that must coordinate sensor inputs, device power switching, analog video routing, battery monitoring, and deep-sleep operation while remaining easy to expand as additional hardware is added later. I can provide: • Well-structured, fully commented MicroPython/CircuitPython firmware • Wiring diagram showing MOSFET/relay interfaces, voltage sensing, accelerometer, proximity sensor, LEDs, cameras, and transmitter • Sleep/wake implementation using accelerometer-triggered interrupts • Battery voltage monitoring with configurable threshold bands and LED patterns • State-machine-based code that is easy to modify as your third device is defined • Test procedure demonstrating all required operating modes A few questions: Which microcontroller platform do you prefer (ESP32, RP2040, or another board)? Is the analog video signal standard composite video? What current levels should be expected for the Camera and Transmitter loads? I’d be glad to help turn this into a reliable and expandable platform.

Integrating a proximity sensor to manage live analog video switching and deep-sleep logic on an ESP32 or RP2040 is exactly the type of hardware-software bridge I enjoy building. The main challenge for your vehicle-mounted system is ensuring the vibration wake-up is sensitive enough to trigger before the equipment is needed, while keeping the deep-sleep current low enough to protect that 12V battery. I have worked on similar Python automation logic where reliability and power management were the primary goals. I can provide the MicroPython firmware along with a clear wiring diagram for the MOSFETs and voltage dividers so you do not have to guess at the electronics. I will structure the code to handle the three voltage bands and LED blink patterns as distinct, non-blocking tasks. I can put together a quick wiring schematic and Python firmware draft for free so you can see the approach first. ~ Rajesh

Dear Client, This Vehicle Device Control System should not be treated as only an Arduino wiring and coding task. The real challenge is building a reliable vehicle-ready control architecture that can safely manage power switching, video/camera control, battery-voltage sensing, accelerometer input, LED indication, and low-power operation in a noisy vehicle environment. I can help define and develop the hardware control architecture, wiring strategy, power switching approach, and control-board design needed for reliable field operation. My focus would be: ✅ design the control architecture for camera, transmitter, third load, proximity input, accelerometer, LED indication, and battery-voltage detection ✅ select the right relay/MOSFET/power-switching method based on current rating, standby power, and vehicle environment ✅ ensure proper grounding, protection, voltage-divider design, sensor interfacing, and test points for reliable validation Two quick questions: 1. What are the current ratings of the camera, transmitter, and third controlled load? 2. Is the video signal standard composite video, or does it use another format? If you message me, I can first outline the power switching strategy, controller pin plan, signal path, and validation checklist before moving into detailed design. Best regards, Prat PCB Must Innovations
